Guylaine is a Psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy, Sociology), Graduate Diploma of Psychology and Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology. She is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists.

Guylaine’s therapeutic style is warm, empathetic and good-humoured. She adopts a collaborative approach to assist her clients in identifying strategies that will help them break free from unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving and help them live the life they want to live with confidence.

Guylaine practices within a range of modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. Guylaine also has an interest in Schema Therapy. She integrates strategies from different approaches to suit the needs, circumstances, and preferences of each client. 

Guylaine brings a wealth of diverse experience to her practice from previous work in occupational rehabilitation settings and private practice settings. She has also accumulated a diverse set of skills through prior studies in law, work in Procurement, Executive Assistance and translation. Guylaine is also fluent in French and can provide therapy in both French and English.

Outside of work, Guylaine enjoys reading, cooking and staying active through swimming and martial arts and spending time with her family and boisterous Australian Cattle Dog.

    She also has a special interest in older adults’ mental health and is completing a Diploma of Dementia Care.
