Esther Pratten is a Psychologist who has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a registered Medicare provider and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Esther is also a part of the Motivating Marriages Clinical team. In this role she provides clinical assessment, recommendations for treatment and manages administrative tasks to support the Motivating Marriages Principal Psychologist’s in delivery of treatment and  workshops.

Esther has previously worked for a not-for-profit organisation, providing psychological assessment and treatment to children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. Esther also has experience working with both parents and their children to address mental health, behavioural and relationship concerns.

Esther practices from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), MI (Mindfulness), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) frameworks.

Esther is also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and utilises the Emotion Coaching Method for work with parents.

Esther is a warm, gentle, genuine, compassionate and dedicated Psychologist. She is passionate about providing clients with the best evidence-based treatments that can help them in gaining more satisfaction in their daily lives. Outside of work Esther enjoys reading, hiking, relaxing at the beach and spending quality time with her family and friends.
